After a few years of silence, San Francisco punk band Dead To Me are back, once again, in full swing. Following bassist and vocalist Tyson “Chicken” Annicharico's successful substance boot and the band's excellent three-track 2016 EP, I Wanna Die in Los Angeles, returning founding member/guitarist Jack Dalrymple, drummer Ian Anderson, and guitarist Ken Yamazaki are showing off their newest material.
Earlier this year, the group showed off their anthemic, shreddy "Fear is the New Bliss." Today, EARMILK is premiering "Would It Kill You," the band's latest catchy and thrashing new single.
Tyson “Chicken” Annicharico commented on their energetic latest:
'Would it Kill You' is a song about the confusion that arises from the inherent trade off between consumer convenience and emotional detachment. The expectation of convenience (for products/services, etc.) carries over to our emotional and personal lives as well. We not only expect to be told what to buy, but more importantly how to feel and think. You even expect me to tell you what this song is about and what it means to you, admit it.
He's right.
Dead To Me are readying the release of their upcoming fourth LP, recorded alongside Chris Dugan, who has engineered records for the likes of Green Day and Iggy Pop. No official date slated for the upcoming record. "Would It Kill You" will be releasing digitally Friday over all major streaming services.
